Description
John and Martha Kraus began beekeeping in their backyard with a few hives in the 1970's. Since then John's fascination with bees grew and he now has over 600 hives. They have a mixture of Survivor Queen Bees and Hawaiian Kona Queen Bees. They move their bees all over to get different pollination. In February they start in California and then on to Dalles for cherries and then on to Brewster and Bridgeport for apples and other fruit. During the summer months they locate to Washington where the bees pollinate sweet clover, vetch, snowberry, fireweed and many other assorted wildflowers. The complexness of the bees keeps Martha and John continually learning. They work hartd to provide the best honey on the market.
