Description

Olives date back to biblical times and are also mentioned in classical writings. Olives have been cultivated since prehistoric times. They are grown in many different locations including: Greece, France, Asia, Spain, Italy and California. The first tree was planted in 1769 in California. A missionary from France planted it at a mission home in San Diego and it became known as the oemission olive. Olive trees can live to be 2000 years old. Olive trees usually start producing olives between 4-8 years old. Olives are not edible until they are cured or treated with lye. Stuffed olives come in a variety of flavors. Green olives are a great snack, go great with cheese and crackers or are great in your favorite beverage.

Ingredients: Olives, water, garlic, salt, lactic acid and sodium bisulfate (to enhance color).
